RULES
- You will strive to achieve academic excellence. This is Job #1.
- You will abide by school policies, school ethics, and school values
- You will not swear, cuss, or use disrespectful language
- You will not engage in talk that insults or offends
- You will respect the authority of the coach and the captain
- You will not run alone off campus; you will stay connected while running
- You will not use music ear pieces of any type while you are running on school time
- You will care for your uniform at all times. Further, you will hand in your uniform as instructed.
- You will respect school administration, teachers, team mates, officials, and competitors
- You will faithfully attend practices and meets per the attendance policies:
- If you come to practice late you need a note from your teacher
- If you are absent you will need a note from your teacher or parent explaining your absence.
- Excused absences will include academic, medical, religious, and certain family obligations. Check with your coach for approval
- Absences of any type will affect your standing on the team since you are missing vital training time.
- Two or more unexcused absences may result in your being dismissed from the team. Excessive excused absences could also affect your team status.
- Students who miss an excessive number of practices and/or more than 1 meet for any reason may not be eligible to earn a varsity letter.
- You will ride the bus home from all meets unless you provide an official “Transportation” permission form signed by a parent giving your permission to ride with them.
- First offense will result in a verbal warning with a written record filed with the Athletic Director
- Second offense will result in one week suspension from the team, letter sent to parents, and a mandatory meeting with the Athletic Director
- Third offense will result in dismissal from the team with notice filed with the Principal’s Office.
